Meet the owners!

We are Doug and Nora Atkinson and we are the proud owners of Shirley Septic Pumping, LLC: An Elk Canyon Company.
 
About us: We met in 2004 in college and have been adventuring together ever since. After marrying in 2010, we moved from Tennessee to Denver to Dallas to Houston with careers in public education and finance. In 2018, we moved back to our native Colorado to put down roots and start our family. In late 2022, we purchased the septic and portable restroom services from the Shirley family to create Shirley Septic Pumping, LLC: an Elk Canyon Company. We love living, working, and raising our family in this community.
 
Currently, Doug manages the company full-time, which means on any given day you might find him out in the field pumping a tank, at an event setting up portable restroom services, driving a truck, or working in the office. Nora splits her time between supporting the business through her human resources and accounting backgrounds, as well as continuing to work as a consultant in public education down the hill and across the country.
 
Our family goal has always been to establish deep roots in the community we love by offering professional home services to our neighbors in Pine, Conifer, Bailey, Evergreen, Morrison, Jefferson and the South Park communities. We are proud to raise our young family here and are committed to three core principles:

• Serve our neighbors and our community with professionalism and kindness
• Support our community by sponsoring as many local non-profits as possible, including at least one community event each month
• Be an employer of choice through competitive compensation, commitment to employees and their families, and creating opportunities for growth and leadership throughout the company
