Job Title: Chief Animal Comfort and Safety Officer (Part-Time)
Pay: $650 per week (for an average of 25 hours each week; average rate of $26/hour). Performance bonuses possible. Potential to grow into a full-time position.

About The ResqRanch: The ResqRanch is a non-profit sanctuary rescuing and rehabilitating wild mustangs, discarded racehorses, and other animals in desperate need of a safe home. DrQ and her team do it all with a holistic approach. We seek a dedicated, compassionate individual to join our mission-driven team and contribute to our animals' well-being.
Job Summary: This vital part-time role (25 hrs/wk) is key to ensuring animal welfare and safety at our horse sanctuary. We need a motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented individual, passionate about animal welfare, with excellent time management for independent and team-based tasks.
Key Responsibilities (Managed within 25 hrs/wk):
Animal Care: Daily feeding (hay), fresh water (including winter tank heater maintenance), and monitoring animal health, reporting any concerns immediately. Stocking grains/supplements.
Ranch Operations: Corral cleaning using the tractor. Maintaining fuel in equipment. Basic facility upkeep (trash, recycling, sweeping common areas).
Maintenance & Safety: Basic equipment, building, and fence maintenance. Monitoring furnace filters/propane.
Environment: Fly control, seasonal tasks (e.g., critical weed eating, snow removal), and ensuring a safe, hazard-free environment.
General Support: Other prioritized tasks to support ResqRanch animals and people.
Qualifications:
Genuine love for animals and dedication to their well-being; reliable, mature, responsible, and compassionate.
Ability to safely operate a tractor and perform basic maintenance on equipment, buildings, and fences.
Proactive, self-motivated, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude (no ego).
Physically capable of manual labor in all weather conditions.
Handyperson skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing) are a significant PLUS.
