Position: Assistant Director
Reports to: Executive Director
Type: Permanent, Full-Time (32 hours), Salaried
Compensation: $55,000 annually
Benefits: Eligible for benefits including pro-rated vacation and sick time off with pay
Hours: Full-time, flexible, hybrid work model with a 4-day work week

Your Role:

As the Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Executive Director to support the day-to-day operations, program research, development, and implementation, data management, and grant management. Your contributions will be crucial in building the organization’s capacity and expanding its reach through fund development and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to oversee daily operations.
  • Foster a strong team culture among both volunteer and paid staff.

Program Research, Development, and Implementation:

  • Research best practice models for service delivery.
  • Develop and implement best practices for service delivery.
  • Analyze data to recommend operational improvements.

Data Management:

  • Develop systems to track and analyze data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data processing and reporting.

Grant Management:

  • Identify and cultivate funding sources from various agencies and foundations.
  • Write and submit grant proposals and reports.
  • Work on proposal preparation, including budget development.
  • Maintain regular communication with funders, donors, and prospects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, women's studies, psychology, sociology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a non-profit or similar environment.
  • Proven track record in writing and securing grants.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and services for domestic violence survivors preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience working with volunteers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and intimate partner violence.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Neon Database, and SalesForce.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Flexible and non-judgmental attitude towards victims of violence.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Must pass a TRAILS and Criminal Background check.
  • Physical mobility to perform office tasks and attend off-site meetings.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work model with the opportunity for remote work.
  • Training and meetings may occur at off-site locations.
