Join us for our local quarterly nonprofit meeting. These are joint meetings hosted by Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce and Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce. Working together to help the local nonprofits.
This month's topic - Think Tank: Onboarding Board Members.
Agenda:
3:00-3:20 - Introductions
3:20-4:10 - Round tables/ small group
4:10-4:30 - Group Think
Round table questions:
1. What formal process do you have for finding good board members?
2. What does diversity for your board look like and what process do you have in place to achieve it?
3. How do you place feet to fire regarding individual responsibility for each board member?
4. What do you feel are the pros and cons of a formal give or get policy for board members?
Group think: At the end of the meeting we will open up the table to help individuals with problems you are struggling to solve. If you have a question you'd rather I bring up, please email me at coniferchamber@gmail.com.
Example: One of our biggest donors wants to be on the board, but they would be a terrible board member, what should I do?
