Native Plant Walk at Reynolds Park

Native Plant Walk at Reynolds Park

Join Native Plant Master Dina Baker for a leisurely stroll through Reynolds Park. We will be exploring the “wetter” side of the park and searching for the botanic treasures who reside there. We will observe and discuss the ecosystem along with the plant and wildlife that lives within it. Although each year yields varying growth seasons and species, there is a great diversity of native plants on the north facing side of the park. We hope to find columbines, violets, shooting stars, horsetails, currants, gooseberry, western wallflowers, whiplash daisies, and if we’re very lucky, Calypso Orchids! We will explore the sunny, south facing side of the park if time allows.

All levels of botanists and plant enthusiasts are welcome. We invite everyone with an interest in native plants to join our walks and share their knowledge and/or enthusiasm with the group.

Due to risks associated with COVID-19, we will be implementing social distancing, wearing masks and limiting our group size to 9 participants. So sign up early!
