What are DBT skills?
DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY IS DESIGNED TO HELP PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH INTENSE EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCES, LEARN HOW TO MANAGE AND REGULATE THEIR EMOTIONS, TOLERATE DISTRESS, AND IMPROVE RELATIONSHIPS. THE GOAL OF DBT IS TO BALANCE ACCEPTANCE AND CHANGE, HELPING INDIVIDUALS ACCEPT THEMSELVES WHILE WORKING TOWARD POSITIVE CHANGE.
